Girl time

On Wednesday night Luke held down the fort with all 5 kids until Jeremiah got home & then they teamed up, so that Elizabeth & I could have a girls night out. It was so fun just to browse downtown, visit & grab dinner. We hit a sale at She She Boutique & I found some Brighton beads on sale for my Pandora bracelet-$5 each! I was so excited. I’ve been wanting to add a few wooden beads to make it a little more earthy. Then we browsed the ceramic painting place. Oh & check out the cute chacos I’m wishing for at Brown’s. We finished off the night with margaritas, mexican food & of course a browse thru Target’s clearance racks.

I LOVE thrifting! Especially in small mountain towns. All for just a few dollars you can load up on treasures. Here’s what I found today at Silverton jailouse thrift, which really is in the old jailhouse. And all proceeds go to the local radio station, so I can say I contributed to keeping the culture alive.

Support your local stay at home moms…

Yep-that’s me! Well friends & family, it’s that time of year. The time where you want your house to smell like cookies, even if you didn’t take the time to bake them. The time of year to sit by the fire and smell the Christmas tree, despite the fact that your tree is fake? Yes, Scentsy is for you and all of your difficult-to-buy-for family members too! I’m posting a link below for shopping ease. Place your order ASAP to get them in time for Christmas-it’s not to late! (And shipping is light years faster now, so there’s no sweating it!)

First Farmer’s Market Outing

And the first of many! I LOVE the market & picking out fresh produce to cook with. I am so hooked. There is so much great produce to choose from. You can just pay for it & eat it on the spot because everything is organic. “Just dust it off & pop it in your mouth” an old farmer told my mom about her purchase of little cherry tomatoes. There is a Saturday market & a Wednesday one too, but last week Wednesday was a poor showing. I don’t know if it was the rain or what. But we ventured out anyways, ever-ready to meet people & make friends (and pet new doggie friends-Trip’s favorite part). These shots are of Saturday-perfect weather.

Thanks dad for introducing us to chocolate bread-the kids don’t know & what they don’t know won’t hurt them. They love it! So I was inspired that I tried some banana bread & added freshly grated yellow squash & an extra bit of brown sugar. And they LOVE it! The smell of sweet success. Who knew it smelled like yummy fresh bread?

Oh p.s. I am trying to get a Scentsy booth lined up so I can get some business going out here. Wish me luck!
